Free up your Mac without the guesswork
PooScan finds the caches, old project builds, browser cookies and temporary files that quietly eat tens of gigabytes. You see every item and its size, and you decide what goes.
What PooScan cleans
Scanning is quick, and every item comes with a short note on what it is and whether it is safe to remove.
Junk and old builds
App caches, logs and the heavy leftovers developers know too well: Xcode DerivedData, Unity Library folders, node_modules, Gradle, CocoaPods and npm caches.
Cookies and temporary files
Cookies, site data and temporary files of Chrome, Brave, Edge, Firefox, Arc, Opera, Vivaldi and Yandex Browser, plus unfinished downloads. Open browsers are skipped so nothing breaks.
Memory
See how much memory is in use, release inactive file cache in one click, and find the apps that use the most RAM.
Scan, check, clean
- Allow access to your home folder once, so macOS lets PooScan look for junk
- Start a scan. It is free, as often as you like
- Review the list. Only things that apps rebuild on their own are selected for you
- Press Clean and see how much space you got back
Your Mac, your call
Your files stay on your Mac
No account and no uploads of your data. PooScan never sends your files, scan results or browsing data anywhere; it only collects anonymous usage statistics. Read the privacy policy.
Careful by default
Nothing is removed until you confirm. Large items such as AI models, simulators and Xcode archives are never selected for you.
Honest about deleting
Cleaned files are deleted permanently, not moved to the Trash, so the space is free right away. Look through the list before you press Clean.

Questions about PooScan
Does PooScan collect my data?
PooScan never sends your files, file names, scan results or browsing data anywhere. To improve the app, it collects anonymous usage statistics with Google Firebase Analytics, such as which features are used and your app and macOS version. Details are in the privacy policy.
Why does PooScan ask for my home folder?
Apps from the Mac App Store can only see the folders you give them. PooScan needs your home folder to find caches and old builds there. You choose it once, and PooScan remembers it.
Can I get cleaned files back?
No. PooScan deletes files permanently instead of moving them to the Trash. Most selected items are caches that apps create again when they need them, but check the list before you clean.
Why can't PooScan clear Safari cookies?
Safari keeps its data in a folder that macOS protects from other apps. PooScan shows you how to clear it in Safari itself.
Which Macs and languages are supported?
PooScan runs on macOS 13 Ventura or later. It is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Ukrainian.
